About

Well, we’re based in Belgium. We’re mainly 2 guys who enjoy abusing audio equipment in a musical fashion. Inocybe started out as a typical band making electronic ambient music, but, through the years, has evolved towards a wide variety of projects and musical encounters in our home studio. This site is a simple blog I keep where I put some music and some other stuff I find useful to share involving home studios.

I must make clear that gear reviews on this site are neither done by professionals, nor are they complete, nor are they objective. I’ll write something about some piece of gear I have used, mostly for an extensive period of time, and draw my own conclusions. This is to serve as a bit of a counterweight towards the ‘objective’ reviews in most magazines which, more or less, read as a manual and won’t tell you shit about how a piece of gear actually feels.

Gear List: 933 rotary knobs, 75 sliders, 6 controle weels, 1033 push buttons, 17 switches, 1 x-y controller, 70 black keys, 102 white keys, 28 strings (of which 2 broken), 8 LCD screens, 3 LED screen, 2 TFT screens, 6 air moving cones, ??? meter of cables (rough estimate), 1 nibnob2000, 2 chairs and a comfortable sofa, etc.. this list is not up to date.. (really I once counted them all.. but simply cannot keep track anymore.)
